Chris, thanks for reading. I think most people that are Prius owners or fans probably wouldn't have bothered reading my rant.

You are obviously not the yahoo green nuts that I was attacking based on your response. You said so yourself. You don't own it to be green. You have it because it suits your needs.

I just can't stand these people that think they are doing the world good with this car when it really doesn't. Also they think they are fighting some "good fight" against the evil doers.

Actually you are the complete opposite of what I am attacking and I'm happy about that. You read up, you make informed decisions and you don't portray yourself to be something you are not.

Again thanks for chiming in.

I love my Prius. I got it new in '07 for $25,000 (not counting the $3,000 tax credit) and have never once regretted the purchase. But then again, I didn't buy it to be green. I bought it because it was a perfect fit for my needs/wants in a car (And, no, I don't think I'm starving terrorists by driving it). First and foremost, I'm in sales and drive quite a lot for work so I wanted something that made good gas mileage. Check. Secondly, I'm often tasked with picking up and delivering merchandise and wanted/needed something with a hatchback and plenty of room for storage. Check. And last, but certainly not least of all, I also use my car as a mobile office so there's a lot of sitting around in it as well. The Prius is perfect for this as the engine works like a generator kicking on to charge your batteries when needed and then switching back to battery power so you can charge your phone, enjoy your stereo and air-conditioning without wasting any gas. I typically average around 42 MPG according to the onboard computer, but considering how much time is spent parked out in the field somewhere I think that the actual numbers are much higher. Even based on that 42 MPG number, I've already saved over $4,200 compared to the average passenger car in the US (source: http://www.bts.gov/publications/national_transportation_statistics/html/table_04_23.html), and over $5,400 compared to your Nissan Frontier (source: http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Nissan_Frontier/Performance/). This brings my net cost from $25,000 down to $16,600 compared to your Frontier, and those savings will only continue to grow once it's paid off in November.

Then there's the fact that a Toyota Prius has a larger environmental footprint than a Hummer does.

That was really funny, especially the part about the Easter Bunny. Couldn't agree more!

The only place I'd like to be Mayor of, and actually not just mayor but CEO, is Total Wine.

Now if they can just get rid of that stupid #FF on Twitter, the world would be a better place.

Nice post. Talk to you later.

Homer's going to need some visualization. If Fedor can be seen as a doughnut or a frosty cold one, he's in trouble.

10/5/1955 is Homers birthday (same day as "whacking day" which is celebrated in the show) but the irony is that they dont celebrate his birthday because they are to busy celebrating whacking day...also Homer can take a punch
